Endorsed once again by both the Bedford Taxpayers Association and the Bedford Residents Association
I am running for School Board in 2022 in the town of Bedford and I am asking for your vote.
I received a BA in history from UMass Amherst, a Masters in Public Administration from Suffolk University in Boston, and an MBA from Cornell’s Johnson Graduate School of Management.
I am an entrepreneur and presently a Managing Member of CSW Advisors, LLC, a financial advisory firm. I have over two decades of experience in finance, banking, and insurance management positions, and I look forward to serving you on the School Board.
My wife Doreen and I have been married for 17 years. I have coached children for many years in town. I am an active parent in Troop 5 where my two sons are Eagle Scout candidates. I served as a Town Councilor for three years and as a School Board Member for three years where I serve on the Curriculum, Energy and covid Metrics committees. I am a member of the Bedford Men’s Club and likely sold you a Christmas Tree if you buy one from us each year. My wife and I have raised two boys in Bedford, now ages 15 and 16. As a Bedford family we ski in our beautiful New Hampshire mountains, camp in the North Country and are involved in both scouting and multiple sports leagues here in Bedford. Our older son Harrison attends Bedford High School while our younger son is in a private school which provides a diverse perspective on differing educational options available to the broader Bedford community. Bedford schools were a major reason Doreen and I chose to live and raise our family here. We believe that successful education is achieved at the local level by hard-working, dedicated teachers and administrators, working side-by-side with involved parents and students with many backgrounds and divergent needs and interests.
My first term as a Bedford School Board Member was a challenge. I had thought my focus would be largely budgetary. Issues beyond an always difficult budget process have included Covid, CRT, diversity, library content, sports equipment requirements, facilities and energy management, curriculum and beyond. All of these issues represent challenges which I have addressed to the best of my ability and in the interest of the community. My three years on the Town Council provided a unique perspective that helped prepare me for my first term as a School Board Member. I believe the experiences I have developed as both a School Board Member and as a member of the Town Council have prepared me to represent parents, taxpayers and our childrens’ needs for a second term as a School Board Member. The position is challenging but rewarding and I would appreciate the opportunity to serve the community for three more years if voters elect me to do so this March.
Thank you for your past support.
Please vote for me again on election day March 8, 2022 at Bedford High School from 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
